Kota: Speeding car kills woman on morning walk

Udupi, Dec 26, 2012  : A pedestrian was killed on the spot and another serious injured when a speeding car knocked them down at NH 66 near Mabukala in Kota police station limits in the wee hours of December 26, Wednesday.

 

The incident occurred at around 5.30 am when  three women    were on a morning walk as usual. The deceased has been identified as Rajalakshmi Hebbar. Vanajakshi who sustained serious injuries has been admitted to the hospital.

Reports said the car which was heading towards Mangalore from Kundapur hit  the women  when the driver made an attempt to avoid colliding with a truck.

Kota police have registered a case.
