Konkan Railway track works: Mangaluru–Madgaon trains partially cancelled, rescheduled on select October dates

Mangaluru, Sep 30, 2026: Train services on the Konkan Railway route will be affected on several dates in October due to track maintenance works, with partial cancellations, changes in originating stations, rescheduling and regulation of trains.

According to the railway authorities, the following changes will be in effect:

Mangaluru–Madgaon Passenger partially cancelled

Train No. 56616 Mangaluru Central–Madgaon Junction Passenger, scheduled to leave Mangaluru Central on October 1, 8 and 15, will be short-terminated at Karwar. The service between Karwar and Madgaon Junction will remain cancelled on these dates.

Madgaon–Mangaluru Passenger to originate from Karwar

Train No. 56615 Madgaon Junction–Mangaluru Central Passenger, scheduled to commence its journey from Madgaon at 2.15 pm on October 1, 8 and 15, will instead originate from Karwar at 3.24 pm on the same days. The service between Madgaon Junction and Karwar will be cancelled.

Train rescheduled on select dates

Train No. 56615 Madgaon Junction–Mangaluru Central Passenger will depart late from Madgaon on the following dates:

* October 2, 4, 9, 11, 16 and 18: Departure rescheduled from 2.15 pm to 3.45 pm, a delay of 1 hour 30 minutes.
* October 6, 13 and 20: Departure rescheduled from 2.15 pm to 4.55 pm, a delay of 2 hours 40 minutes.

Ernakulam–Pune Superfast Express regulated

Train No. 22149 Ernakulam Junction–Pune Junction Bi-Weekly Superfast Express, commencing its journey on October 2, 9 and 14, will be regulated en route by 2 hours 20 minutes.

Passengers travelling on the affected dates are advised to check the latest train timings before commencing their journey.
