Konaje hit-and-run: 23-year-old biker critically injured in lorry collision; driver absconds

Konaje, Apr 3, 2026: A 23-year-old youth was seriously injured after a lorry rammed into his bike near Kambalapadavu under the Konaje police station limits on Thursday evening. The lorry driver allegedly fled the scene without stopping, police said.

The injured has been identified as Sushanth (23), son of Baby from Nadupadavu. Due to the impact, he was thrown off the bike and sustained severe head injuries.

He was immediately shifted to a private hospital in Deralakatte for treatment.

The incident has sparked public outrage, as the lorry driver escaped after the hit-and-run. Police later traced and seized the lorry, and further investigation is underway.
