Konaje: Dog trapped in cage placed to trap leopard

Mangaluru, Oct 09, 2023: A dog was caught in the cage placed by the Forest Department to trap a leopard which is said to be on the prowl near Nadupadavu near Konaje.

 

There was panic in the area last week when many local residents said that they had spotted a leopard. Following this, Forest personnel had arrived at the spot and had placed a cage. However on Sunday, a dog was heard barking and locals who rushed to the place found the dog trapped in the cage instead of the leopard. Later, it was set free by the locals.
