Konaje: Auto rickshaw and car collide; Two people sustain serious injuries

Konaje, August 10, 2024: On Friday evening, a collision between an auto rickshaw and a car near Kalmijn School in Naringana village resulted in injuries to the driver and two passengers.

The accident occurred when a car attempted to overtake the auto rickshaw, which was traveling on a road adjacent to Kalmijn School. The collision caused the rickshaw to be severely damaged. The driver, Muralidhara Shetty Timarodi, sustained injuries and has received medical treatment.

Inside the rickshaw, Geetha (40), the wife of Alwarbetta Mohandas, and another woman from a neighboring house suffered serious injuries and are receiving treatment at Deralakatte Hospital. A child who was also in the rickshaw escaped with minor injuries. 

A case has been filed at the Konaje police station.
