Kollur: Police recover stolen gold chains, purse within two hours

Kundapur, May 8, 2026: Police recovered two gold chains and a purse containing cash belonging to a devotee from Kerala within two hours after they were reported stolen at the Mookambika Temple in Kollur police station limits.

According to police, the valuables were stolen inside the temple premises. Using CCTV footage from the temple, police traced and recovered the stolen items within two hours and handed them back to the rightful owner.

The incident took place on Wednesday at the Kollur temple. The operation was carried out by police personnel under the leadership of PSI Bheemashankar.
