Kinnigoli: Leopard dies after falling into a trap

Mangaluru, June 07, 2023: A leopard was found dead, after falling into a trap near Ulepaadi Mithabettu on Tuesday June 6. This incident happened near Mulki’s Kinnigoli under the Aikal gram panchayat limits.

 

The big cat is said to have strayed into the human habitat in search of food.

It is suspected that Mithabettu locals had laid a trap for the dreaded animal unable to bear its havoc that it wreaked in the villages.

Locals heard the dogs barking loudly and when they approached the area from where they heard the sound they found that the leopard was moving around which died a few moments later.

Forest officials examined the leopard and took the body for a post-mortem examination.
