Kids enter into world of letters through Aksharaabhyasa

Mangalore, Oct 14, 2013: Many kids entered into the world of letters and learning through the Aksharaabhyasa ritual at Sri Mangaladevi Temple on October 14, Monday.

 

 

 

The ritual is also known as Vidyarambha, wherein the child is made to write alphabets for the first time on rice on the auspicious day of Vijaya Dashami.

Later, Sanskrit letter ‘Om’ was written on the kids tongue with a gold ring, with a belief that the kid would pursue good education and grow to a greater achievement in life.
