Kerala Youth Arrested for Possession, Sale of MDMA in Mangaluru

Mangaluru, Jan 18, 2026: Kadri police arrested a 20-year-old youth for allegedly possessing and selling the banned narcotic substance MDMA, acting on a tip-off received by Mangaluru East police.

Based on credible information, a police team conducted a raid on January 17 near an open space behind Sri Durga Parameshwari Bhajana Mandir at Kailas Colony in Padavu gram limits, where the accused was allegedly selling MDMA to students after arriving on a motorcycle.

Police seized 5.20 grams of MDMA and a Pulsar NS motorcycle from the accused. The total value of the seized contraband and vehicle is estimated at about ₹70,000.

The arrested has been identified as Jude Mathew (20), son of Manoj Joseph, a resident of Mutholapuram, Ernakulam district, Kerala. Further investigation is underway.
