Kavoor station head constable suspended for harassing woman complainant

Mangaluru, Feb 09, 2024: The City Police Commissioner has issued an order suspending Santosh, a Head Constable of the Kavoor Police Station for mentally harassing a woman who had approached the station to lodge a complaint. The constable named Santosh has also been accused of threatening the woman and sending her abusive message.

 

It is said the constable had secured the mobile number of the woman when she had come to the station and later used to torture her by sending abusive messages. He also threatened to kill her if she lodges a complaint against him.

Unable to bear his torture, the woman had filed a complaint with City Police Commissioner Anupam Agarwal.
