Kashi Mutt Swamiji arrives at Shri Venkataramana Temple

Mangalore, May 15, 2012 : Swami Sudhindrateertha of Kashi Mutt arrived at Shri Venkataramana Temple at Car Street on May 13, Sunday to inaugurate the Vyasa Raghupathi Ratha Yathra, which the temple is organizing as part of the re-installation ceremony of the temple deities.

 

Swami Sudhindrateertha and Swami Sayyamindrateertha, his successor, prayed for the ratha yatra on May 13, Sunday. The ratha yatra will travel all over the twin districts and will return to the temple on May 30, Wednesday, after 18 days.

The temple will hold the re-installation ceremony of its deities from June 9 to June 13. The organizers expect more than 1 lakh devotees from all over the country to take part in this ceremony.
