Kasargod: Two youth drown in Payaswini river

Kasargod, Sep 29, 2022: Two young men who entered the Payaswini river at Bedadka Karicheri for a bath on September 28, Wednesday evening were washed away by the strong water currents.

 

The deceased are Vijith (23) of Kollam and Ranju (24) of Tiruvananthapuram. The bodies were retrieved from the river by the fire service and police personnel with the help of locals late in the night.

Both the youth worked for a company in Chennai and had been to the house of a colleague named Vishnu in Kerala. They had returned after a trip to Goa.

It is said in all four youth had entered the waters when the tragedy struck.
