Kasargod: Tipper truck overturns onto house, driver dies

Kasargod, Aug 29, 2026: A 40-year-old tipper truck driver died after the vehicle overturned onto a house at Kanjirapoyil in Madikai on Saturday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Sadiq, a resident of Chayyom.

The accident occurred at Kulangad in Kanjirapoyil. According to reports, Sadiq had unloaded red soil from the truck and was moving the vehicle forward when he reportedly lost control. The truck overturned and crashed onto the nearby house belonging to P Gopalan.

The impact completely destroyed the kitchen portion of the house.

Sadiq sustained serious injuries in the accident and was rushed to a hospital. However, he succumbed to his injuries despite treatment.
