Kasargod : Temple priest dies in road mishap

Kasargod, Jan 01, 2022: A priest of a temple at Chervathur died in a road accident at Kanhangad on January 1, Saturday.

 

The deceased is K Venkatesh (50). He was serving as a priest in the Sri Veerabhadra Temple. Venkatesh was on way to the temple in his bike on Saturday morning when the mishap took place. A lorry which was  ahead had applied sudden brake when the bike rammed into the lorry from behind  resulting in the mishap.

Venkatesh was the brother of former district BJP chief Srikanth.

Hosadurga Police have registered a case.
