Kasargod: Suspicious death turns out murder; friend arrested

Kasargod, June 13, 2025: The suspicious death of 48 year old Satish of Adoor Chandanakkad has turned out to be a case of murder. Adoor police who are investigating the case have arrested a man said to be the friend of Satish.

The arrested person is Chidananda. Satish was found in an unconscious state near a neighbouring house on Tuesday evening. He was shifted to the hospital where he died. Post-mortem report revealed internal injuries. Police who investigated the case arrested Chidananda on suspicion who during interrogation admitted his guilt.

Investigations revealed that Satish and Chidanand who visited Chomanna Naik’s house had consumed alcohol following which there was a quarrel between the two. In the melee Satish had collapsed. The other two had fled the place after making Satish lie down on the verandah of the house.

Meanwhile, Satish’s sister made frantic calls to him and when the calls went unanswered the family went in search of him and found him lying unconscious. His friend Chidananda had not attended Satish’s last rites which further gave room for suspicion on him.
