Kasargod : Murder accused found dead with head severed from body

Kasargod, May 01, 2017:  A person who is said to be an accused in a murder case was  found murdered in a barbaric way with his head severed from the body  in an isolated spot  near Maaliyankare fort  at Kumble on April 30, Sunday.

The deceased  has been identified as Abdul Salam (32) from Peruvad in Kumble.   Another man identified as Naushad of Badrianagar, said to be Abdul Salam’s accomplice was found critically injured. He has been rushed to a hospital in Mangaluru.

The deceased  Abdul Salam was  an accused in th case of murder of Shafique (25), son of Kumble GP member Peral Ahmed in 2014.

Police had arrested  Abdul Salam Naushad and two others in connection with the case of vandalising the house of Siddique of Peral, anther murder accused, well past midnight on Sunday. All of them  were released at around 2 pm on Sunday.  Later  Abdul Salam’s  body was found. Two bikes and an  autorickshaw were also found at the spot.

A previous enmity is suspected to be the cause of the murder. Kumble Police are investigating.
