Kasargod: Man dies after choking on omelette in Badiadka

Kasargod, Sep 23, 2025: A 52-year-old man tragically died in Badiadka after an omelette got stuck in his throat on Sunday evening.

The deceased has been identified as Vincent Crasta, a native of Chullikkana in Badiadka and resident of Baradka. The incident occurred while he was eating at a petty shop near his home. When the food became lodged in his throat, he reportedly began struggling to breathe. Though he was rushed to Kumble Hospital, doctors declared him brought dead.

Vincent worked at a welding shop in Bela Kattathangadi. Following a post-mortem at Kasargod General Hospital, the body was handed over to his relatives.

Badiadka police have registered a case of unnatural death after conducting a spot inspection. Vincent was unmarried.
