Kasargod: Man arrested for hacking wife to death

Kasargod, Dec 06, 2021: A woman  was found murdered at her residence at Perladka in Bedadka police station limits on December 6, Monday morning. Police have arrested her husband Ashok in connection with the murder.

 

The deceased is Usha (35). The couple was staying at a quarters in Perladka town. It is learnt, Ashok had  hacked his wife to death and had then left the house after locking it.

The murder came to light when Ashok who was an Ayyappa Vrithadhari did not arrive as usual for the rituals to the local Bhajana Mandir. His friends came in search of him and found the house locked. They later peeped through the window and found Ashok’s wife lying  in a pool of blood.

Ashok was later arrested from near the Kasargod railway station area. The motive behind the murder is not known. However neighbours say Ashok seemed mentally unstable of late.
