Kasargod : Fire mishap at Kubanur waste treatment plant

Kasargod, Feb 13, 2024: The waste treatment plant at Kubanur in Kasargod caught fire on Monday night resulting in thick flames and black smoke all over. The fire service personnel had to struggle to extinguish the fire. Luckily no one was injured in the incident. Deputy Commissioner K Inba Shekhar monitored the situation.

 

The entire area was pervaded with a foul smell as the huge quantity of wastes caught fire.

The DC has convened a meeting of the Disaster Prevention Authority in view of Monday’s incident.
