Kasargod: College girl who ordered food online dies of suspected food poisoning

Kasargod, Jan 07, 2023: A 19 year old girl, a B.Com student of Manjeshwar Govind Pai Memorial College died of suspected food poisoning after consuming food ordered online from a restaurant at Adkathabail near Kasargod.

 

The  deceased is Anjushree Parvathi of Benoor Tallikayi. She fell severely ill after consuming the food on December 31 following which she was admitted to a private hospital in Mangaluru where she succumbed.

It is learnt all her family members who had ordered the same food on account of New Year and had consumed it had fallen ill. Though others recovered the condition of Anjushree had worsened.

The body has been taken to the Periyaram Medical College for post-mortem. A case of unnatural death has been registered  by Melparamba police.

State Health Minister Veena George has ordered a probe into the incident.
