Kasargod : 4 dead, 4 injured as lorry plunges into gorge

Kasargod, Dec 24, 2021: Four persons lost their lives while four others sustained serious injuries after a lorry laden with timber which went out of control of its driver plunged into a gorge  at Pariyara near Panattur on December 23, Thursday evening.

 

The deceased are Vinod (45), Narayana (50), K M Mohan (40) and Sunder (40). The lorry driver, cleaner and two others were injured. All the injured were loading workers. There were a total of  nine people in the lorry and  all of them were caught amid the wooden logs in the lorry making it a difficult task to get them out.
