Kasaragod: Six-year-old boy dies after falling into pit

Kasaragod, June 8, 2026: A six-year-old boy died after accidentally falling into a pit dug for a toilet at a house under construction in Kasaragod.

The deceased has been identified as Muhammad Ayan, son of Muhammad Sajid of Manjattadka in Madhur.

According to reports, the child was playing near the construction site when he fell into the water-filled pit. When the boy went missing, family members launched a search and later found him inside the pit.

He was immediately rushed to a hospital, but doctors were unable to save his life.

The Vidyanagar Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the incident.
