Kasaragod: KSRTC temporary conductor dies by suicide

Kasaragod, Aug. 5, 2026: A temporary conductor with the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) allegedly died by suicide after hanging himself at Muliyar in Kasaragod district.

The deceased has been identified as Yogeesh M. (41), a resident of Mazhakkar in Muliyar. He had been serving as a temporary conductor with KSRTC for the past 18 years.


Suicide

According to reports, Yogeesh had been under severe mental stress and was reportedly experiencing depression over fears of losing his job in recent days. It is alleged that this anxiety may have led to the tragic incident.

He is survived by his mother and two brothers. Adur Police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident.
