Kasaragod: Car–scooter collision – rider killed

Kasaragod, Feb 9, 2026: A scooter rider was killed in an accident involving a car and a scooter that occurred on Sunday night at Arikkady on the national highway.

The deceased has been identified as Abdul Muneer (38), a native of Pachambala and currently residing in Kanyana. He was working as a hotel employee in Uppala.

The rider, who sustained serious injuries in the accident, was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries despite treatment. Kumble police have registered a case in connection with the incident. The body has been kept at the mortuary of the Mangalpady Government Hospital.
