Karnataka to witness heavy rain till July 20; yellow alert issued for coastal districts

Bengaluru, July 15, 2025: The southwest monsoon has intensified once again in Karnataka, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasting heavy rainfall over the next week in coastal, Malnad, and southern interior districts.

Widespread heavy rain is expected across the state from today till July 17, with a yellow alert issued for the coastal districts.

Districts in the southern interior region — including Kolar, Mysuru, Chikkaballapur, and Chamarajanagar — are also likely to receive heavy rainfall, and a yellow alert has been issued for these areas as well.
