Bengaluru, Nov 22, 2025: In a major relief for motorists, the Karnataka government has once again announced a 50% rebate on all pending traffic violation fines. A similar rebate offered earlier had generated significant revenue for the state.

On Wednesday, Transport Department Deputy Secretary Rangappa Karigar issued an official order reinstating the rebate. After reviewing the department’s proposal, the state government approved it and directed immediate implementation.

The rebate is effective from November 21 to December 12, during which vehicle owners can clear outstanding fines by paying only half the amount.

In Bengaluru, fines can be paid at traffic police stations, the Traffic Management Centre, Karnataka One and Bengaluru One centres, or through their respective online portals.

In other districts, motorists may visit the nearest police station to avail the rebate.

Online payments can also be made via the Karnataka State Police (KSP) app and the BTP Astra app, according to traffic police officials.
