Bengaluru, Apr 23, 2026: The SSLC Examination-1 results were announced on Thursday, with regular fresh students recording a historic pass percentage of 94.1%, a sharp rise from 80.04% last year.
Announcing the results, Minister for School Education and Literacy Madhu Bangarappa attributed the achievement to the collective efforts of students, parents, teachers, legislators, and education department officials.
“I congratulate and thank all students, parents, teachers, legislators, and officials at all levels who contributed to this success. The state-level parent-teacher meetings played a significant role in helping parents understand the importance of education and their responsibilities in supporting their children’s studies,” he said.
A total of 7,70,209 regular fresh students appeared for the examination this year, of whom 7,24,794 passed.
Six students secured a perfect 625 out of 625, emerging as state toppers. Among them is a student from a government school in Athani taluk of Chikkodi district.
Digital marks cards are available on DigiLocker, and physical copies will also be issued this year.
In view of the high pass percentage, the government has decided not to conduct a third examination. However, the second exam for students wishing to improve their scores will be held from May 18 to 25.
Notably, around 1,500 students failed in the third language this year, a significant drop compared to over 50,000 students last year.
