Karnataka SIR: Voters can now check online if their names are flagged under ASDDO

Bengaluru, Aug 5, 2026: Voters in Karnataka can now check online whether their names have been flagged under the Absent, Shifted, Duplicate, Dead and Others (ASDDO) category during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. More than one crore of the State’s 5.54 crore registered voters have been marked under the category so far.

Chief Electoral Officer V. Anbukumar on Tuesday launched the online portal, enabling voters to verify their ASDDO status. The district-wise lists are available on the CEO Karnataka website.

However, the lists for districts including Belagavi, Raichur, Shivamogga and Bengaluru Urban were not available on the portal at the time of release.

Voters who find that they have been wrongly classified as absent, shifted or under any other incorrect category can approach their respective Booth Level Officer (BLO) and establish that they continue to reside at their registered address. They will then be issued an enumeration form to rectify the records.

According to the Chief Electoral Officer’s office, as of August 4, a total of 1,11,07,461 voters had been placed under the ASDDO category. The ASDDO lists have also been shared with recognised political parties and made available to BLOs for verification.

Voters included in the ASDDO category will be excluded from the draft electoral rolls scheduled to be published on August 17. Meanwhile, political parties have urged the Election Commission to verify every case involving existing voters and direct BLOs to compulsorily collect self-declaration forms to ensure that no eligible voter is left out.
