Karnataka Legislative Assembly delegation visits Stanford University

Mangaluru, Aug 4, 2025: A delegation from the Karnataka Legislative Assembly visited Stanford University in California as part of their official tour to the United States. The team was led by Speaker U.T. Khader and included legislators Manjunath Bhandary, P.M. Ashok Pattan, Dinesh Gooli Gowda, Srinivas Mane, Gururaj Ganttehole, Suresh Babu, Ashok Rai and Gurme Suresh Shetty.

During their visit, the delegation toured the Biodesign Lab at Stanford, headed by Dr. Anurag Mairal, Adjunct Professor at the Stanford School of Medicine and Director of Global Outreach at the Stanford Byers Center for Biodesign. Dr. Mairal also holds a leadership role at the Center for Innovation in Global Health. The visit provided the legislators with valuable insights into cutting-edge research and innovations in healthcare and medical technology.
