Karkala: Teenager killed in car mishap on NH; parents injured

Karkala, Dec 13, 2013: A teenager hailing from Kalasa lost his life when the car in which he was travelling rolled off the National Highway near the Miyar Church on December 13, Friday.

The deceased is Shrutesh (16), a first PUC student at Bhuvanendra College, Karkala. The care was being driven by his father.

 

The mishap took place when the car went out of control of the driver and  crashed against the stone barriers before overturning. Shrutesh was caught under the car and died on the spot.

It is learnt, he was residing in the Bhujabali Brahmacharya Ashram. Sources said he was on way to his college with his parents for a Parent-Teachers’ meet when the mishap occurred.

Shrutesh’s parents however sustained minor injuries in the mishap.
