Karkala: Man sets brother’s house on fire, kills himself inside car

Karkala, Jan 26, 2023: A 46 year old man has  reportedly committed suicide by dousing himself with petrol and setting himself on fire while being seated in his  Maruti Omni at Sacharipete Kudruttu of Mundkur village on January 25, Wednesday night. It is said that he had set his brother’s house on fire before ending his life.

 

The deceased is Krishna Sapaliga, a local resident. He was a car driver by profession. It is said that he was mentally agonised over some issue.

Krishna had participated in a Mehendi function of his sister’s daughter held at his younger brother’s house  and had later set the house afire before killing himself.

A property dispute is said to be the causeof the incident.

Karkala Police are investigating the case.
