Karkala: Man booked for raping minor

Karkala, Nov 10, 2013: The Karkala Town police have registered a case against a youth named Raghu on the charges of  raping a minor girl. The incident is said to have taken place in Palli village of  Karkala.

Sources said the  youth had somehow lured the  girl studying in eighth standard   on November 6, Wednesday and had sexually assaulted her. It is learnt, the victim was a neighbour of the accused.

The  terrified girl had not divulged the matter to her parents until November 9, Saturday. However, when they repeatedly questioned her, the girl revealed the truth. The victim has been subject to medical examination. Police are on the lookout for the accused.
