Karkala: Forest fire engulfs vast tracts of land

Karkala, April 19, 2024: Forest fire has engulfed vast tracts of land in Marne  of Hermunde village in Karkala taluk and in Uyyalapade of Chinkaramale forest range. Several trees have been destroyed in the fire.

 

It is said the forest fire has been raging since three days and has destroyed nearly three hectares of land. Forest team is at the spot and is relentlessly striving to douse the fire and prevent its spread.
