Karkala: Car rams into electric pole after losing control; three injured

Karkala, December 3, 2025: Three people were injured when a car travelling from Karkala towards Hebri lost control and crashed into an electric pole.

The injured have been identified as Sadananda Naik, an engineer in the Karkala Panchayat Raj Department, his wife, and their child. The incident occurred near Mooruru in Hirgana village while Sadananda Naik, along with his wife and child, was travelling to their home in Chanthar, Brahmavar.

The accident took place when a cyclist suddenly came in the way near Mooruru on the Karkala–Hebri State Highway, causing the car to lose control and ram into a high-tension electric pole. All three sustained injuries and were admitted to a private hospital in Karkala.
