Karkala : Blast in stone quarry ; 2 workers injured

Karkala, Nov 30, 2021: Two labourers were injured in an explosion at a stone quarrying site  near Jarkala in Karkala taluk on November 30, Tuesday.

The injured identified as Manjunath (44) and Raghavendra (40) have been hospitalised. They are siblings and are from Tamil Nadu.

The explosion occurred at around 11.10 am. It is learnt, lack of precaution while using explosive materials  has led to the blast. Locals who rushed to the spot soon after the  mishap, assisted in shifting the  injured to the hospital.

A large number of people have gathered in front of the hospital where the injured are shifted. It is being said that both the injured are differently abled.
