Karkala: Absconding accused arrested in Shivamogga after years on the run

Karkala, Mar 7, 2026: Police have arrested a man who had been absconding for several years in connection with a case registered at the Karkala Town Police Station.

The accused has been identified as Ibrahim alias Ibbu, who had reportedly been evading arrest since the case was filed.

Acting on a tip-off, police personnel Lokesh and Sanjay traced the accused to Shivamogga district and apprehended him following a search operation.

After the arrest, Ibrahim was brought to Karkala and produced before the jurisdictional court for further legal proceedings, police said.
