Karkala: 63-year-old woman injured after falling from moving bus near Miyyar divider

Karkala, January 28, 2026: A 63-year-old woman sustained serious injuries after falling from a moving private bus near the Miyyar divider on January 26. The victim, identified as Jayanthi, a resident of Miyyar, was travelling from Udupi to Belthangady.

According to reports, Jayanthi was standing near the door of the bus when she lost her balance and fell onto the road. Her right arm was severely crushed after it came under the rear wheel of the bus. A local resident, Ramakanth Shetty Karimarukatte, immediately rushed her to the Karkala Government Hospital in his car for treatment.
