
Mangaluru, December 3, 2025: The Dakshina Kannada district administration, in collaboration with local organizations and associations, is gearing up to organize the cultural, sports, and entertainment extravaganza ‘Karavali Utsav 2025–26’ from December 20 to January 4, said Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Darshan H.V.
Speaking at a press conference, he said that the festival will be held in a grand manner at the Karavali Utsav Grounds, Kadri Park, and the city’s beaches.
He informed that the inauguration of the event will take place on December 20 at the Karavali Utsav Grounds with cultural performances, in the presence of the Speaker, District In-charge Minister, MPs, MLAs, MLCs, and chairpersons of various academies, corporations, and boards.
Entertainment Activities:
The Karavali Utsav Grounds will host various stalls, exhibitions, and an amusement park for the public.
Cultural Events:
From December 20 to January 4, cultural performances showcasing the art and culture of the coastal region will be held every Saturday and Sunday at the Karavali Utsav Grounds.
Musical Extravaganza:
On January 3 and 4, a ‘Musical Night’ featuring renowned Sandalwood and Bollywood artists will be held at the Panambur, Tannirbavi, and Sasihithlu beaches.
Special Attractions in January–February:
The DC announced that special events will continue through January and February.
From January 9 to 11, ‘Kala Parva’, an art festival featuring painting, sculpture, and dance, will be held along Kadri Park Road in association with Sharadhi Foundation.
A fruit and flower show organized by the Horticulture Department will be held at Kadri Park on January 26.
In sports, a triathlon will be held from January 9 to 11 at Tannirbavi Beach in association with Tapasya Foundation.
An international kite festival will be held on January 17 and 18 at Tannirbavi Beach.
A Beach Festival will take place from January 23 to 25 at major beaches.
A Food Street event will be organized on January 30 and 31 along Kadri Park Road.
A book fair will be held at the City Central Library during the last week of January, the Deputy Commissioner added.
