Kantara Chapter 1 junior artiste drowns in Sowparnika river

Kundapur, May 8, 2025: A junior artiste of Kerala origin who worked on the sets of Kanthara Chapter 1, has drowned in the Sowparnika river at Kollur.

The deceased is Kapil. The artiste who was taking part in the shooting had gone to the river banks for a swim after the day’s shooting  when tragedy struck.

The body has been kept in the mortuary of the Kundapur Government Hospital.

It may be recalled here that a vehicle carrying a team of junior artistes of the movie had overturned at Kollur some time back. In another instance the film set was damaged due to strong winds.
