Kalmakaru bridge collapses; 150 families cut off from mainland

Subrahmanya, Aug 02, 2022: Heavy rains that have been lashing  Subrahmanya, Kalmakaru, Kollamogaru, Harihara Pallathadka since Sunday night has thrown life completely out of gear. The bridge  at Kalmakaru has collapsed and washed away  and has thus cut off  nearly 150 families from the mainland.

The bridge had suffered damage on Sunday night itself and on Monday night it  collapsed bringing untold hardship to the nearly 150 families living in the area.
