Kadri Kambala to be held on Dec 2

Mangalore, Nov 25, 2012: Kadri Kambala Committee President B. Nagaraj Shetty announced that the historic Kadri Kambala will be held in Mangalore on Dec 2.

Addressing reporters at a press meet held at Press Club in Mangalore on Saturday, Mr. Shetty said that the kambala will include a number of rural games and contests such as Kesaru Gadde Ota, tug of war, and others, in addition to the buffalo race.

Harikrishna Punaroor, former president of Kannada Sahitya Parishad, will inaugurate the buffalo race, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel will inaugurate the tappangai sport, MLA Krishna Palemar will inaugurate the tug of war, and A. Sadanand Shetty, president of Shree Devi Education Trust, will inaugurate the slush race, he said

Deputy Speaker of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly N. Yogish Bhat; DK ZP CEO Dr. K. N. Vijayaprakash; Kalkura Prathishtana President Pradeep Kumar Kalkura; and many others will take part in this event.
