Kadaba: Youth killed in head-on collision between KSRTC bus and bike

Kadaba, May 27, 2025: A tragic accident claimed the life of a young man when a KSRTC bus collided with his motorcycle near Halestation on the Uppinangady–Subrahmanya state highway late Monday night.

The victim has been identified as 23-year-old Bishwajith, son of the late Sridhar Gowda, and a resident of Uderi in Kodimbala village, Kadaba taluk.

Employed in a fabrication unit at Palatadka in Mardhala, Bishwajith was returning home after work when the accident occurred. According to reports, the KSRTC bus, en route to Subrahmanya, was overtaking an Omni car near Halestation when it struck Bishwajith’s bike head-on. He sustained critical injuries and succumbed while being transported to the Kadaba hospital.

The Omni car involved also suffered damage in the incident. Bishwajith is survived by his mother, brother, and sister.

Kadaba police visited the scene, conducted a preliminary investigation, and have registered a case.
