Kadaba: Wild elephant tries to pierce KSRTC sleeper bus with its tusk

Kadaba, June 2, 2023: A KSRTC sleeper bus on way to Bengaluru was damaged after a wild elephant tried to pierce the bus with its tusk at Anila near Kenjala on the Subrahmanya-Gundya State Highway late night on June 1, Thursday.

 

The bus was on way to Bengaluru via Puttur, Kaniyoor and Subrahmanya. The driver who noticed the wild elephant standing on the roadside tried to avert it, but the elephant had managed to attack the bus. However the presence of mind of the bus driver ensured the safety of the passengers though the bus was damaged.

Subrahmanya Range Forest Officer Raghavendra visited the spot.
