Kadaba: Illegal timber transport busted in Kodimbala; one arrested

Kadaba, June 5, 2025: Forest department officials uncovered an illegal timber transport operation on Wednesday along Kanakavana Road in Kodimbala village. The team seized 22 mahogany wood blocks valued at around ₹2 lakh, along with a lorry used for transportation and a crane used for loading.

The lorry driver, identified as Latif from Parappa, has been arrested. Officials are continuing their investigation to identify and apprehend others involved in the smuggling network.

The operation was led by Panja Range Forest Officer Sandhya.
