KSRTC Volvo dashes into bike killing one man

Mangalore, Apr 8, 2012: One man died and four were injured when a KSRTC Volvo bus dashed into a bike near Kottara Chowkie Flyover on April 8 Sunday at around 6:00 a.m. 

The deceased is Rupesh Shetty (26), an MRPL surveyor who was going back home on his bike after the night shift.

                

 

One person is seriously injured and is taking treatment at AJ Hospital. The rest escaped with minor injuries. All the injured people were KSRTC passengers. 

According to eyewitnesses, the bus was on the wrong side and in a desperate attempt to avoid hitting the bike, the driver lost control of the bus, which rolled over on one side. 

The bus was on its way to Mangalore from Bangalore.
