KPL: Mangalore United to organize selection trial match on September 12

Mangalore, September 11: Moidin Bava, owner of Mangalore United , said in a press meet held here on Friday, September 10 that the selection trial match will be held  to select new three players for the United team.

After observing the performance in the matches, the selection committee will announce the final selection for the United team. The participants who are interested to participate in the selection trial match have to report to the Dakashina Kannada District Cricket organization’s office at 8.30 am on Sunday, he said.

He further stated that the selection committee will choose 45 players for the trials in the initial stage. The three teams comprising of 45 players will play in DK and Udupi.  Out of 45, best twelve players will be taken to Bangalore and vie in a match with Mangalore United team. The outstanding three players, on the basis of their performance in the matches, will be selected for the core team, he added.

KPL matches will commence from Thursday September 16.
