KPCC Confirms Party Tickets to MLAs U T Khader and Ramanath Rai

Ramanath RaiBangalore, Mar 26, 2013: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) announced the second list of likely-candidates for upcoming assembly elections here on Tuesday March 26.

MLAs U T Khader and Ramanath Rai were confirmed to get party tickets to contest in assembly constituencies of Mangalore and Bantwal respectively.

Earlier, KPCC had released the list of likely-candidates in 28 assembly constituencies, while on Tuesday, second list of likely-candidates of over 80 assembly constituencies were released.  It is clear that the key congressmen are likely to get party tickets.

KPCC has issued party tickets to 71 sitting MLAs during the meeting held at Devahalli Resort, here on Tuesday.  Meanwhile, the candidate names of Mangalore south and Mangalore north are withheld to exercise caution.

The name of Pramod Madwaraj, lone aspirant for party ticket in Udupi was finalized.  KPCC is likely to announce the final list in a few days.
