Mangaluru, Nov 26, 2025: The Karnataka Milk Federation, which has built a strong presence in India’s dairy sector, has now expanded its reach to the USA, Australia and Saudi Arabia by beginning exports of its Nandini ghee.

Saudi Arabia has placed an order for 8 metric tonnes of ghee, the USA for 5 metric tonnes and Australia for 1 metric tonne. Marking the formal launch of the export consignment on Tuesday, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Animal Husbandry Minister K. KMF currently exports Nandini UHT milk, ghee, cheese, dairy whitener, butter, ice cream, flavoured milk, sweets and savouries to countries where Indian communities, especially Kannadigas, are settled in large numbers. These include Dubai, Qatar, Brunei, Maldives and Singapore. The federation is also working to strengthen the international presence of Nandini dairy products.

Earlier, KMF expanded its global footprint by launching the first international ‘Nandini Café Moo’ outlet in Dubai through franchise partners, supplying ghee, butter, cheese, UHT milk, ice cream, sweets and savouries.

KMF representatives had also participated in the Naavika (Namma Vishwa Kannadigaru) World Kannada Conference held recently at Lakeland, Florida, USA, where they introduced newly designed packs of Nandini ghee and sweet products. Following this, fresh demand has now come from Saudi Arabia, the USA and Australia.

Nandini ghee is being exported to Australia, America and Saudi Arabia, and the product has strong demand both within India and abroad. Kumar, originally from Mysuru and now settled in the US, has taken up distribution of Nandini ghee there. “My wishes to both KMF and Kumar,” Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said in his statement.
