KDKUEA to observe Engineers’ Day

Mangalore, Sep 12, 2012: The Kodagu, DK, and Udupi Engineers’ Association (KDKUEA) will observe Engineers’ Day in commemoration of the birth anniversary of Sir M. Vishveshwarayya, on September 15, Saturday. 

Making the above announcement at a press conference held today, KDKUEA President B. S. Balakrishna said that the program will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday at Vishwa Shanthi Mandir near Ganapathy Temple in Urwa Stores, Mangalore. 

The chief guests will be Dr. A. U. Ravishankar, head of the civil engineering department at NIT-K Suratkal; Dr. Basavaraj Rajarushi, chairperson of Brahmakumaris Sports Wing, Mount Abu; and Sourabha, centre-in-charge of Brahmakumaris, Manipal.  

The organizers will confer the Engineers’ Day Honor 2012 on C. V. Kamath, consulting engineer of Mangalore. 

A technical quiz for engineering students will be held at St. Joseph Engineering College, Vamanjoor on Thursday, as part of the celebrations.
