Justice Santosh Hegde releases book on Prophet Mohammad

Mangalore, April 7, 2012 : Delivering the valedictory address at the valedictory ceremony of a religious campaign organized by New Age India Forum (NAIF) on April 7 Friday, Santhosh Hegde, the retired Supreme Court judge and former Lokayukta of Karnataka, said that the Indian Constitution gives everybody the right to religion.

Stating that religion gives no room to greed, he said that people have become greedier of late, which has led to corruption and social inequality.

Rafiuddin Kudroli’s book on the life of Prophet Mohammed was released on this occasion and prizes were distributed among the winners of various contests held as part of the campaign.

Abdussalam Puttige, the editor of Vartha Bharathi; Dr. M. M. James, the director of BTL Institute in Mangalore; and many others were also present.
